We'll have downtime for upgrades tomorrow morning at 10am CET, scheduling an hour but it will probably go faster, new features by lunch!

What is CET? Any chance we can get such notifications in UTC? (I'm assuming it's Central European Time or some such .. which would be somewhere about UTC+0200 at a guess .. Three-letter-acronym geographic time zones are never good -- there's two, possibly three, ESTs in the world)

CET is 1 hour ahead of UTC..

I suggest the Zulu Time Zone instead of the boring UTC (or the imperial GMT).

So the downtime is at 0900Z, good people!

@Wendelboe: Unless what is meant is CEST or Central European Summer Time, in which case it is UTC+2. Finland like the rest of the European Union currently observes a unified European Summer Time. Could someone at Jaiku please clarify?

@tonio: Boring is not the issue. UTC is the greatest common denominator people understand.

mh, i'd use CET for the time it currently is in europe, i.e. CEST.

"all of the countries of Europe except Iceland which observes UTC all year round" - we should say iceland time from now on :)

Icelandic Civil Time maybe equal to UTC .. but Iceland LMT (ok Reykjavík LMT) is 1 hour, 27 minutes and 43 seconds behind UTC. I know because I'm a time-nerd.

Secret new features .. though I'm guessing at least a channel search as that was intimated for last Monday and never appeared
