I second that. However, it's now six days ater and I'm experiences a strange phenomena where all my new Jaikus vanish within nano-seconds of making them. I can't post any jaikus, update my location, or add to a channel - only reply to other peoples jaikus. Is that related?
Yeah it's happening to a lot of people, comments work but posts don't. I tried about 3 times and gave up. Let's hope this comment works hey, fingers crossed ;)
@munkimatt: Does the Skypephone2 not have the Facebook app which includes Chat? Think it will be something along those lines, unlimited Facebook on 3, possibly?
@gerry I don't know about the Skype phone, the only reason I'm thinking handset is because the banner you've posted on your site seems to have an outline of a handset in the background. Don't hold me to that though cos I looked at it off my phone and it's quite low res.

Lack of a decent mobile app keeps me from using Facebook. With twitter, it is the lack of a sane way in which to follow threads or initiate discussions.
@myrtti whether it's a reoccuring problem or not is irrelevant. For example the place where I work has a problem with one of the plating machines, it breaks every week. We don't leave the customers guessing though, we inform every single customer who has ordered from that product line there is an issue. It's called courtesy.
@gerrymoth the new phone 3UK are talking about is probably the INQ1, from INQ, a subsidary of Hutchison (ie owners of 3), who have put Skype, Facebook, Windows Live Messenger, a browser and an ebay tracker in there.... basically it's designed for the "young social networking hungry" crowd
Like the Skypephone it will also work as a 3g modem for a PC. Due to retail at less than £99 on PAYG...

@Edy@cityrat I don't want to switch. I'm not a fan of Twitter and FriendFeed is sorta mah (same with the rest). Besides, I'm here for the people. Not everyone is going to switch to and be active on a different service so I'd need to keep up with Jaiku as well. I just wish the Dev team would let us know they're aware of an outage and fix the blasted thing quickly.
@dabitch: and when that boom takes down the service? it usually takes the blog with it too. there needs to be a way to notify your users when shit happens, even if you don't know what exactly happened
What @edy said. A quick post on a blogger blog (other something like it) saying, "We know it's broken. Working on it" hardly takes a long time. I'm not asking for a detailed what and why.
